A re-imagining.
I have done several luxagraphic series where, in addition to camera motion, I have also interposed objects between the subject(s) and the lens. Here I present a collection of nine such shots where the interposed object is a shot glass. You could argue that the shot glass is then acting as a secondary lens or a kind of filter. The shot glass itself may or may not be in motion as it is hand-held during the process.
I suppose I’ll start off with some of the more mundane creations and work into the more complex and stunning. Please keep in mind that these are all pure luxagraphia. Camera motion (and the interposed shot glass) is all that is used to create these photographs. These are not manipulated and there has been no post-processing work done (all exceptions noted).

You Wouldn’t Like Me When I’m Angry: This photograph (8906) was shot on 12 May 2007. I have done a small amount of color correction on this one.
Alice’s Adventures Down the Wormhole: This photograph (8235) was shot on 4 May 2007. I have done a small amount of color correction on this one (and I turned it upside down).
The Rose Echoes Time: This photograph (8161) was shot on 3 May 2007.
White Hot Turbo Light: This photograph (8164) was shot on 3 May 2007.
A Drop of Fire: This photograph (7992) was shot on 2 May 2007.
Iris: This photograph (8031) was shot on 2 May 2007.
The Last Dance: This photograph (8281) was shot at some pub here in Ballard on 4 May 2007. The subject light is a candle.
Alright. There you have a nice collection of related photographs. I hope you enjoy viewing them. I know I enjoy shooting them (in spite of the odd looks I get from people as I’m doing it.)

No post-processing work. This unmanipulated photograph (2813) was shot on 4 July 2007 on Lake Union. It was shot under the same conditions as yesterday’s series, but this photograph uses more luxagraphic motion to further exploit the time axis.
Ultimately, what you see is the product of lights reflected on water and time.
